Overview
Learn more about the events that shaped Amsterdam during the Second World War, on a thoughtfully paced walking tour ending at the the Anne Frank House.
Together, we will travel back to the Amsterdam of WWII and explore the impact of the Nazi occupation on the city and its people.
Visit places where resistance began, difficult decisions were made and everyday life was permanently altered. See sites linked to the February Strike and the Dutch Resistance, along with memorials dedicated to those who lost their lives during WWII.
Later, the tour moves west towards the Anne Frank House, where you'll hear Anne’s story within the broader context of occupation and daily life. We’ll see the Westerkerk, the outside of the house where Anne and her family hid for more than two years, and the beautiful Prinsengracht.
At the end of the tour, you can make an unguided visit to the Secret Annex of the Anne Frank House/Museum.
