Start your full-day adventure early in the morning from Florence and head towards La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre.
Depending on the option selected, you will either travel in a comfortable minivan with a professional Tour Leader and a small group of maximum 8 guests, or independently by train with our Self-Guided Rail Package, using the train tickets and detailed travel instructions provided in advance.
When choosing the Guided Small-Group Tour, your Tour Leader will take care of the day's logistics and provide information, local insights and interesting facts about the areas you visit, as well as recommendations to help you make the most of your free time.
The journey to La Spezia takes approximately 2 hours. Sit back and enjoy the journey before reaching the Ligurian coast, where you will continue by local train to explore the beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre. -

Arrive in La Spezia, the gateway to the Cinque Terre, and get ready to explore one of Italy’s most spectacular coastal destinations.
From La Spezia train station, continue by local train into the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its colorful fishing villages set along the rugged Ligurian coastline.
Before boarding the train, you will have some time to purchase a snack at a local shop or use the restroom facilities. From here, regional trains connect the Cinque Terre villages throughout the day and are the most practical way to travel along this unique stretch of coastline.
Please keep in mind that the Cinque Terre is one of the most visited destinations in Italy, so crowds should be expected, particularly during peak season. Regional trains can also be busy and occasional delays may occur. Traveling by local train is part of the Cinque Terre experience and the most efficient way to move between the villages. -

Your first Cinque Terre stop is Vernazza, one of the most charming villages along the Ligurian coast.

Continue by local train to Manarola, famous for its colorful houses dramatically positioned above the sea.
Enjoy free time to explore the village and walk towards the panoramic viewpoint for one of the most iconic views of the Cinque Terre.

Stop 5
After visiting Manarola, take the local train back to La Spezia.
