Overview
Experience nature like never before with a rejuvenating mud bath at **L’eau Michel Mud Volcano** in South Trinidad. Upon arrival, vehicles must be parked a short distance from the site, followed by a scenic 25-minute walk through lush surroundings to reach the mud volcano. Unlike other mud volcanoes, the semi-solid, silky mud here flows gently from active vents and is perfectly safe for bathing. Despite the term “volcano,” the mud is cool, smooth, and dense enough to keep you afloat—a truly unique natural spa experience.
For those wishing to rinse off, a scenic hike of approximately one hour leads to the pristine **L’eau Michel Beach**, with another hour to return—making it a rewarding two-hour round-trip adventure. The tour concludes with a culinary stop in **Debe**, where you can savor authentic Trinidadian cuisine.( Street Food)

For a spa experience with a difference, a natural mud bath at L’eau Michel Mud Volcano in southern Trinidad should be your next destination. Unlike other mud volcanoes in Trinidad, the mud at L’eau Michel is semi solid and liquid enough for visitors to soak in. The mud flows out through active vents in a slow circular fashion over an area of approximately an acre. The mud here is not hot despite what the term ‘volcano’ might suggest. On the contrary, the mud is cool and smooth to the touch and so dense it keeps you a float.
Visitors frequent the volcano to picnic and enjoy the mud bath. This is usually followed by a short 30-minute hike to the southern coast to L’eau Michel Beach for a refreshing sea bath
