Located on the rugged east coast of Cozumel, El Mirador is a rocky seascape dotted with natural bridges, tide pools and stone needles. This wild and undeveloped area looks out over the open Caribbean Sea and offers a fresh escape from the most touristy areas of Cozumel.

The archaeological site of “San Gervasio” is the most important and best studied pre-Hispanic site of all the documented settlements on Cozumel Island. It is named after its location in the old room “San Gervasio”.
This archaeological ensemble has been considered the center of pilgrimages where the Mayans worshipped the Goddess “Ixchel”. In addition to being a sacred Mayan center, it was a strategic site for trade and political development in the area.
