In the spring, there is magnificent coastal scenery and yellow ripe flowers, with the backdrop of Seongsan Ilchulbong(Sunrise Peak). In the fall, there is a romantic atmosphere when the wild flowers bloom and the gold reeds blow in the wind.

   This traditional village on Jeju Island has been preserved as it was in olden days with impressive piles of stones designed to protect roofs from the wind. The buildings have been designated important folk relics because these castles and homes that were built to prevent a Japanese invasion have remained intact the Joseon Dynasty.
