Our first major stop rises dramatically on a hilltop overlooking the Amu Darya River. Chilpik Kala is a massive, circular 1st-century BCE fortress that served as a Zoroastrian Dakhma (Tower of Silence). Climbing to the top offers a breathtaking, peaceful sunrise view over the desert plains and river delta. -

2. The Savitsky State Art Museum & Lunch Break (Nukus)
Next, we visit the capital city of Nukus and you will step inside the world-famous Savitsky Museum. Globally acclaimed as the "Louvre in the Desert," it houses the world's second-largest collection of banned Soviet avant-garde art, successfully hidden from the KGB regime. -

Standing beneath these massive, rusted iron hulls stranded in the middle of the sand dunes is a powerful, unforgettable experience. -

You will explore the legendary, half-buried "World Clock" tomb, the subterranean mausoleum of Mazlumkhan Slu, and the ruins of the ancient Gyaur-Kala fortress.
