  1. Leidarendi is located about a 30 minute drive from Reykjavik, near the Blue Mountains in Southwest of Iceland. There is a 150 meter walk up to the entrance of the cave. Your guide will provide you with a helmet and a headlight for you to explore the magnificent lava formations and colors that the Leidarendi cave has on display. Be prepared for the cold air in Leidarendi and dress appropriately, as you spend about an hour traveling through the cave. There is a bit of hunching and crawling involved but for the most part, the cave is easily accessible.
