Der Tag beginnt mit einer malerischen Fahrt um den Wanaka-See ins Matukituki-Tal. Nachdem wir mehrere Furten durchfahren haben, erreichen wir die Himbeerhütte. Von hier aus beginnt diese geführte Wanderung entlang des Ufers des Matukituki Flusses.

Stopp 1
The day begins with a scenic drive around Lake Wanaka. Try to spot 'That Wanaka Tree', Ruby Island and more iconic locations!

We drive away from Wanaka passing under the shadow of the iconic Roy's Peak.

Our drive continues into the Matukituki valley, driving through several fords, we arrive at Raspberry Hut (an old shepherd’s hut). From here, the guided walk begins with a walk along the banks of the Matukituki River!

Stopp 4 · 2 Std.
After entering Mt Aspiring National Park via a swing bridge across the river, the walk steadily climbs into a New Zealand Beech rainforest-with a wide variety of moss, ferns, shrubs and trees.

Stopp 5 · 2 Std.
After walking for 2.5 hours, the forest drops away and we enter open ground of alpine herbs and flowers, and the glory of the Rob Roy Glaciers’ panorama unfolds. Here you take time to relax and enjoy one of the best views Mother Nature offers, while sitting and enjoying lunch.
