   Explore the beautiful city center of Antwerp at your own pace. This self-guided audio tour will take you to all the well-known spots and undiscovered gems of Antwerp.
   The rich history of Antwerp is not to be missed. The historic center with its centuries-old squares has many impressive buildings, nice neighborhoods, interesting museums and many convivial restaurants and bars. During the audio tour you pass some unique sights such as the gothic Cathedral of Our Lady, the Rubenshuis, the Brabo Fountain and the oldest stock exchange building in the world. As you may know, Antwerp is the largest storage port of cocoa in the world. Did you know that medicines used to be covered in a layer of chocolate? During this guided tour you will delve deeper into the history of historic Antwerp and discover all the secrets the city carries with it.
   
   In the following points, you'll see just a few examples of the many attractions we will pass by.

2. Parada 2

   The Grote Markt is a square within the city of Antwerp, situated in its historic old town. The Scheldt River is conveniently close by, and this square is adorned with numerous guild houses.

3. Parada 3

   This is the home of Peter Paul Rubens, a world-renowned Baroque painter from the 16th and 17th centuries. His body of work has been inspiring artists and art enthusiasts worldwide for four centuries. Much of his work was created in this house, located in the heart of Antwerp.

4. Parada 4

   The Steen is closely linked to the origin of Antwerp. It is the last visible remnant of the walled fortress that defined the city's appearance for centuries.

5. Parada 5

   The city hall in Antwerp was built in the 16th century. It's where important political decisions for Antwerp are made. The architect, Cornelis Floris de Vriendt, combined old-style design with new ideas from Italy. In 1936, the building was declared a special place by UNESCO because of its historical importance.
