On this walk through Bilbao's Old Town, we'll use its streets to understand that story — from the city's origins to its industrial past, its transformation and the Bilbao people live in today.
But we don't want to simply take you from one landmark to another.
We'll talk about Basque culture, identity, everyday life and the events that have shaped the city, leaving plenty of room for questions, conversation and whatever catches our attention along the way.
Because that's how we think a place is best discovered: not by rushing through a checklist, but by understanding what you're looking at and talking to someone who calls it home.
And since this will probably be just the beginning of your time here, we'll share our favourite ideas for where to eat, drink and explore afterwards.
