Descripción general

Itinerario

1. Parada 1

   We will visit one of Budapest's most iconic and beautiful landmarks that carries the architectural features of Art Nouveau as one of its most recognisable prime examples. Exploring both the lush exterior and the interior of the building is part of the tour.

2. Parada 2 · 30 min

   Parisian Passage Café. A recently renovated building that would make its Belgian counterparts shy. The tour will take you through its passage offering us a glimpse into its interior.

3. Parada 3 · 15 min

   Located in the heart of the city, the building of the Academy of Music is a homage to Hungarian music and a grandiose example of the international secession style at the same time. We will venture inside the hall to see the mosaics and other details worthy to marvel at in the interior.

4. Parada 4 · 30 min

   As we will walk through Budapest's most famous and historic fashion and shopping street we shall stop at various urban palaces to delve into their rich Art Nouveau heritage.

5. Parada 5 · 15 min

   This exciting building will help us to understand the transition between the two major pre-war architectural styles, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. MIKSA ROTH!

6. Parada 6 · 15 min

   The tour will take you to this fine example of Secession's Hungarian National branch. Expect marvellous architecture and enchanted castle-like details. LECHNER

7. Parada 7 · 15 min

   Dedicated to the period of Secession in Hungarian architecture, this site that we will visit offers us an insight into the Hungarian National Style and its influences.

8. Parada 8

   We will see some of the buildings of the Budapest Zoo taking us on a journey of the diversity of Art Nouveau and Secession architecture.

9. Parada 9 · 15 min

   This site carries the trademarks of the Hungarian National Style of Secession which we will discover and discuss as we stop there. Since it is still under renovation we can only explore the building's facade.
