Itinerario

From April to October our morning tours will leave Carcassonne at 0830 and returning to Carcassonne around 4pm. Lunch is included at either a restaurant or alfresco privately catered at a traditional country manor house
Guests are chauffeured privately in a luxury air-conditioned Volvo XC90 4x4 by your expert guide. In the morning guests will visit two different wineries and have the opportunity to taste and discover different wines from some of the most important and notable producers in the region. Your guide will provide a full initiation into the history of the wines of the region, the terroir, an introduction to the art of wine making and how to taste and appreciate wines. After lunch guests will usually have time for one further visit to another winery before returning to Carcassonne. During the tour you will learn about the history of the region as you visit the vineyards and cellars and meet the some of the people behind the wines.
During the tour you will learn how to taste and describe wines and to recognise some of the key grape varieties.
Guests may opt for a full day gastronomic themed tour in which case a price supplement will apply.
