   Originally built during the Japanese colonial period for mining purposes, this historic railway station has since transformed into a popular photo spot for visitors after releasing sky lanterns. From here, you could hop on the unique Pingxi Line train and head to Houtong Cat Village, a charming destination that once recommended by CNN.

   Houtong was once a thriving mining town, and its history is closely tied to Taiwan’s mining industry. Today, it is better known as Houtong Cat Village, where friendly cats roam the streets and attract visitors from around the world.
