   When Morocco gained independence from France in 1956, the Bahia palace was used as a royal residence, until King Hassan II transferred it to the custody of the Moroccan Ministry of Culture, so the building could serve as a cultural icon and tourist attraction.

   Jemaa el-Fnaa square is one of the main cultural spaces in Marrakesh and has become one of the symbols of the city since its foundation in the eleventh century.    Located at the entrance of the Medina, this triangular square, which is surrounded by restaurants, stands and public buildings, provides everyday commercial activities and various forms of entertainment. It is a meeting point for both the local population and people from elsewhere. All through the day, and well into the night, a variety of services are offered, such as dental care, traditional medicine, fortune-telling, preaching, and henna tattooing; water-carrying, fruit and traditional food may be bought. In addition, one can enjoy many performances by storytellers, poets, snake-charmers, Berber musicians (mazighen), Gnaoua dancers and senthir (hajouj) players.

   Early morning welcome the sunrise by going to the stony dunes of Agafay. Homemade breakfast will be served afterward in the luxury bivouac tent.
   After a relaxing morning in the charming surroundings, head to the nearest villages to meet local residents and artisans. Get to know the area, its communities, and the unique array of handmade textiles in local villages. Optionally, you can also choose horse riding or quad biking around the desert.
   Enjoy locally made lunch and a glass of tea in the beautiful berber restaurant.
   
   The journey back to Casablanca starts in the afternoon .
