  1. Jour 1: Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu · 1 jour

Our guide or office staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

  2. Jour 2: Lukla to Phakding · 12 h

On arrival in Lukla, you will be greeted by your guide and porter. Head off towards Phakding, descending to the Dudh Koshi Ghat and following the bank of the river. This is your introduction to the Everest Region, and already you can feel the cool air and the people's warmth. Overnight in Phakding.

Please read: At certain times, Lukla flights depart and return to Ramechhap instead of Kathmandu due to ongoing upgrades at Kathmandu Airport. It is about a 4-hour drive to Ramechhap from Kathmandu, so we have to leave at 2 am. The return drive at the end of the trek is between 4 and 6 hours, depending on traffic.

  3. Jour 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar · 2 jours

Again crossing the Dud Koshi (river) on a long suspension bridge, walk through pine forests until we reach the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, where your permits will be checked. A bit of a downhill to Jorsale for lunch is preceded by an uphill to Namche. On the way, we cross another bridge, the Hillary Suspension Bridge. This is our first serious climb also. But when you arrive in Namche Bazaar, you will be greeted by your first sight of Mount Everest! Overnight in Namche.

  4. Jour 4: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day · 30 min

Since we are already at quite a high altitude and going higher, we take an acclimatization day here. You can take a 2-hour hike to Everest View Point or explore Namche. There is a Sherpa museum, and on Saturday, there is a small outdoor market. Overnight in Namche.

  5. Jour 5: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche · 12 h

Tengboche is famous for being the largest monastery in the Khumbu (Everest) Region. Today we get the opportunity to visit the monastery and receive blessings. From here, we can view some of the most majestic mountains, namely Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Khumbila, all of which are sacred to the Sherpas. Overnight at Tenboche.

  6. Jour 6: Tengboche to Dingboche · 12 h

Hiking through alpine forests, we pass through some villages allowing you to see how the locals live. We walk through the Khumbila Khola Valley and ascend up to a ridgeline where we can see Taboche, Nuptse, Cholatse, and more as we reach Dingboche, note how the landscape is changing. Fewer trees, more shrubs. Overnight in Dingboche.

  7. Jour 7: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche · 12 h

Being at such high altitudes means our bodies need time to acclimatize and rest, so today is a chance to do just that. We can also explore Dingboche and the surrounding Chhukung and Imja Valleys. Imja links to Island Peak and the Makalu Barun National Park, which you might want to explore on a future trek. Overnight in Dingboche.

  8. Jour 8: Dingboche to Lobuche · 12 h

Today we move more slowly as the trek becomes more challenging with the rising altitude.

We climb steeply to the top of a hill where we find memorial stupas for those who have lost their lives on Everest.

Continuing over the mountain terrain to Lobuche, we are stunned by views of Lobuche, Pumori, and Nuptse.

  9. Jour 9: Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp · 12 h

The day you have been waiting for – the day you reach Everest Base Camp! Starting off deceptively easy from Lobuche to Gorekshep,, the trail gets rocky with dunes and moraine until we reach base camp. From here, we see the infamous Khumbu Glacier and Icefall and may meet climbers on their way to attempt to scale the highest mountain in the world. After taking stunning photographs and enjoying being here, we return to Gorakshep, where we overnight.

  10. Jour 10: Gorekshep to Kalapathar and on to Pheriche or Panboch · 12 h

If you thought yesterday was a photographer's paradise, waiting to see the views of Everest from Kalapathar. We rise before dawn to witness sunrise over Mount Everest. Nuptse Nup, Changtse, and Lhotse are illuminated by the first rays of the sun also. Being on top of Kalapathar is as close as we can get to Everest in terms of views without climbing to the peak! Reluctantly, we turn back to hike down to Gorekshep for breakfast and on to Pheriche. If the group still has more energy, we can walk on to Panboche and overnight there.

  11. Jour 11: Pheriche to Namche · 12 h

We head, mainly downhill, from Pheriche to Tengboche and Namche Bazaar, where we spend the night.

  12. Jour 12: Namche to Phadking and Lukla · 12 h

This is the final day of the trek. Pass over the Hilary Suspension Bridge again and bid farewell to the Sherpa people as we arrive in Lukla in the afternoon to the traditional group farewell party!

  13. Jour 13: Lukla to Kathmandu · 12 h

Today we take an early morning flight from Lukla either to Kathmandu or Ramechhap, depending on the situation at Kathmandu airport.

  14. Jour 14: Day 14: Depart from Kathmandu · 12 h

Today we wish you a safe onwards journey and pheri bhetola!
