Le Golden Circle Classic est notre excursion d'une journée la plus vendue ! Découvrez le geyser en éruption et les sources chaudes de renommée mondiale, découvrez la magnifique cascade de Gullfoss et suivez les traces des Vikings en descendant le canyon de lave où les continents américain et eurasien se séparent littéralement à Þingvellir.
Vous verrez également l'une des attractions naturelles les plus emblématiques d'Islande : la source chaude de Geysir, où le sol tremble et où de l'eau chaude fumante jaillit de manière spectaculaire vers le ciel depuis le célèbre geyser de Strokkur.

The tour starts with a stop in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing and the birthplace of the oldest existing parliament in the world. This is also where the gigantic tectonic plates of America and Eurasia have pulled apart and the resulting rift valley is right there before your eyes on the shores of Iceland’s biggest lake.

In Efstidalur you will get a unique and different experience. Right in the middle of the Golden Circle, you get a glance of the farm life in Iceland. This family farm has opened up for tourists and offers a variety of products straight from the farm, such as the famous ice cream, skyr and feta cheese. The restaurant also offers beef from the farm and other local food.

The next stop is at Geysir Hot Springs, the home of the one-and-only original geyser and Iceland’s most iconic natural attraction. Here the ground trembles and steaming hot water spouts spectacularly skywards from the famous Strokkur Geyser every few minutes.

Now for a leisurely walk down to Gullfoss Waterfall, which is an awesome sight to behold. Here a powerful glacial river cascades down 32 meters on two levels and into a narrow canyon with a thunderous roar. The picture perfect waterfall of Gullfoss , is also known to have rainbows and some say at the end of the rainbow there is gold.

Laugarvatn is a shallow lake, about 2 km2 in size. Under its floor, there are hot springs heating the lake so it is warm and suitable for bathing all year round. On its bank rests a village of over 300 inhabitants, also named Laugarvatn.

The last stop on our Golden Circle tour is the volcanic crater Kerið, formed when a large magma chamber collapsed. The piercing blue colour of the water surrounded by the red lava rocks is a breathtaking contrast of nature.
