On this unforgettable bioluminescence kayak tour, you’ll glide through the calm, protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon or Mosquito Lagoon under a blanket of stars. As your paddle gently dips into the water, every stroke creates a swirl of glowing blue-green light, thanks to millions of microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates. Before launch, your guide will provide a brief, easy-to-follow kayaking lesson to ensure everyone feels confident and comfortable on the water—even if it’s your first time. Throughout the tour, your experienced guide will lead the small group at a relaxed pace, pointing out glowing fish trails, darting shrimp, and possibly even dolphins or manatees stirring up bursts of bioluminescence. Tours are timed for peak conditions and always launch from the area with the best glow each evening. No experience is necessary, and all gear is provided—just bring your sense of adventure and curiosity.
