We'll commence a comfortable and scenic journey from Christchurch, lasting approximately 2.5 to 3 hours one way. The route will lead you through the North Canterbury region of the South Island, ultimately arriving in Kaikoura, one of New Zealand's foremost whale-watching destinations.
Kaikoura is internationally renowned for its whale-watching excursions, particularly the opportunity to observe sperm whales. In addition to the whale-watching experience, there is the option to embark on a brief coastal walk to view seals basking on the rocks, as well as a short scenic stroll through the forested areas along the river. You may also enjoy the picturesque sight of dolphins in the ocean.
