概要
もともと、スピナロンガは島ではなく、クレタ島の一部でした。ヴェネツィア占領の間、島は防衛目的のために海岸から切り分けられ、そこに砦が建てられました。ヴェネツィアの支配の間、島の周りの塩田から塩が収穫されました。島はハンセン病のコロニーとしても使用されています。スピナロンガは、小説、テレビシリーズ、短編映画に出演しています。この遠足は、陸と海のツアーを組み合わせたい人に最適なオプションです。また、絵のように美しい港とスピナロンガ島のある小さな町、アギオスニコラオス、クレタ島の東部を訪れる機会があります。

By boat we visit the island of Spinalonga. This island was used as a Leper Colony until 1957. In the small village under the Venetian fortress the stigmatised lepers shared fates when exiled to the island. We make a stop to take a swim in the clean waters of Kolokitha beach in the area of the remains of the ancient sunken city of Olous.
