   Your journey begins with an easy pick-up in Le Havre, where an experienced guide will meet you at the cruise port or your hotel.
   
   Le Havre is located on the Normandy coast and played an important role during World War II. It served as a key logistical center for the Allied forces during the planning and execution of the D-Day invasion. As you leave Le Havre, your guide will briefly explain the region’s historical importance and the bravery of the Allied soldiers who fought to free Europe from Nazi occupation. The drive to the first stop prepares you for the powerful history you will experience at the D-Day landing sites.

   At the German Cemetery, you will learn about a different perspective on the events of D-Day. Located in a quiet and peaceful setting, this site offers a moment for reflection and remembrance. Set against tranquil surroundings, this solemn site commemorates the sacrifices made by all parties involved in the conflict.
   Rows of simple, carefully arranged gravestones highlight the scale of the loss and serve as a strong reminder of the human cost of war. Visiting this site helps provide a broader understanding of World War II and its lasting impact.

   At the steep cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, visitors step into a key moment of the D-Day landings during World War II. This headland, located between Utah and Omaha Beach, was an important German defense position with strong fortifications and artillery that threatened the Allied forces.
   
   On June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers climbed the nearly 100-foot cliffs under heavy enemy fire to take control of the site. Their bravery played an important role in the success of the Normandy invasion. Today, Pointe du Hoc remains a powerful historical site, marked by bomb craters, damaged bunkers, and a monument honoring the Rangers’ sacrifice. Walking through the area offers a meaningful look into the events that took place here and the courage of those involved.
