Travelers booking this experience will enjoy a short, informative visit to the iconic Labookellie Tea Factory, set among the cool-climate tea plantations near Nuwara Eliya.
Upon arrival, they’ll join a guided factory tour that walks them through each stage of tea production, from freshly plucked leaves to the finished Ceylon tea ready for packaging.
Inside the factory, travelers will see traditional machinery in operation and learn how tea is withered, rolled, fermented, dried, and graded, gaining insight into the craftsmanship and skill behind Sri Lanka’s premium tea industry.
Following the tour, guests can relax with a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon tea, enjoying the aroma and flavors while taking in views of the surrounding plantations. There will also be time to browse the factory shop, where a variety of high-quality teas and tea-related products are available to purchase. -
