概要
ランギロア島の南約20キロメートルに広がるこのサンゴ礁は、ツアモツ語で「FEO」とも呼ばれ、南半球の冬の強いうねりに対する防波堤としての役割を果たし、私たちの「モツ」（小島）の浸食を遅らせるという点で、非常に重要であると同時に他に類を見ない存在です。
この独特で印象的な景観は、隕石の衝突によって形成されたと思われるクレーターが、透き通った水で満たされた天然のプールを作り出し、私たちをまるで星空へと誘うかのようだ。
