This beautifully restored walk is a favorite place for locals day and night and welcomes millions of visitors from all over the world. La Princesa was a former prison. The initial city jail was built in 1837 and then expanded in 1854. It incarcerated up to 240 inmates until 1965. Now restored La Princesa Jail is home of the Puerto Rican Tourism Company and a remarkable museum. -
