We start by reading the waves and selecting the safest area on Tamarindo Beach. You’ll learn about currents, positioning, and how to move safely in the ocean.
2️⃣ Technique Practice on the Sand
Before entering the water, we practice:
Proper board positioning
Efficient paddling technique
The correct pop-up (how to stand up)
Wave timing fundamentals
This preparation dramatically increases your chances of catching waves.
3️⃣ Guided Warm-Up
Stretching and mobility exercises prepare your body for balance and performance.
4️⃣ In-Water Coaching
Now the fun begins. Mao stays close to guide you into the right waves at the right moment, helping you build confidence with every ride.
