Located near the Sudanese border, about 230 km southwest of Aswan, this iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site features two colossal rock-cut temples carved into the cliffs by Ramses II. Set on the western banks of Lake Nasser, the site is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture and devotion.
