   This peaceful and moving site provides an important introduction to the human cost behind the history you will explore in Kanchanaburi.

6. Stop 6 · 45 min

   Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an excellent museum located next to the war cemetery.
   
   Through photographs, maps, personal stories and historical displays, the museum helps explain the construction of the railway, the conditions faced by prisoners of war and the wider historical context of the conflict.

7. Stop 7 · 30 min

   Full-day River Kwai option only
   
   Continue to the famous River Kwai Bridge, one of Kanchanaburi’s most recognized landmarks.
   
   Walk across the bridge, take in the river views and learn how this location became internationally known through the story of the Death Railway. This stop provides a more visual and open-air contrast to the cemetery and museum.
