Bush Presidential Library and Museum, America’s 13th presidential library, which opened to the public on May 1, 2013 and is overseen by the National Archives and Records Administration. Learn about the September 11 Remembrance Display - steel beams from the World Trade Center are the focal point of this poignant exhibit. The names of the approximately 3,000 people who died in the Towers, at the Pentagon, and on the hijacked planes are listed on a nearby wall. See the bullhorn the President used to address First Responders at Ground Zero; the notes he scribbled for his impromptu speech at Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Fla. when he learned America was under attack; and a port authority officer’s badge, which the President carried every day after 9-11, given to him by a grieving mother. Visit the White House Oval Office - Take a look around the full-size replica of the President's Oval Office, then sit at the Resolute Desk and enjoy the Texas Rose Garden. Have your photo taken at the Resolute Desk as a memento of your visit. Participate in the Decision Points Theater - Gain insight into the President's thought process during this and other major crises at this interactive exhibit. This time lapse scenario feeds the participant critical information so you can compare your decisions with those made by the President. The George W. Bush Presidential Center is set within a native Texas landscape with grounds featuring Blackland Prairie grasses, seasonal wildflowers and clearings that provide native habitats for butterflies and birds. This landscaped park reflects the President and Mrs. Bush’s longstanding commitment to environmental conservation and restoration. The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, is located within the Bush Presidential Center. Learn about the continued work of the "Impact Centers — Domestic Excellence, Global Leadership and Engagement Agenda — focus on solving today's most pressing challenges." “Many years ago this site would have been a breathtaking Texas prairie. Today the park is planted once again with native habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Visitors can experience this site’s beautiful natural environment in the center of Dallas.”

   In addition to the Bush Library, enjoy a brief driving tour of the Southern Methodist University Campus. Founded in 1911, a nationally ranked private university, SMU is a distinguished center for teaching and research. SMU's nine libraries house the largest private collection of research materials in the Southwest. See Dallas Hall, one of ten SMU buildings listed on the National Historic Register.

   The Meadows Museum, nicknamed "Prado on the Prairie", is an art museum that houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of Spanish art outside of Spain, with works dating from the 10th to the 21st centuries.
