Overzicht
Ervaar de natuurlijke schoonheid van El Yunque National Forest tijdens een begeleid avontuur vanuit San Juan. Na het ophalen van onze aangewezen locaties reis je het regenwoud in en rijd je bijna 600 meter boven zeeniveau voor een adembenemend uitzicht op de oostkust van Puerto Rico vanaf de Yokahú Observation Tower.
Stop bij de iconische La Coca Falls voor foto’s voordat u op een korte wandeling van 15 minuten naar de prachtige Mameyes rivier gaat, waar u kunt zwemmen in verfrissende natuurlijke zwembaden (als het weer het toelaat).

Stop 1 · 2 u
After pickups are made, we will drive around 40 min to El Yunque National Rainforest. in this area we will make 3 stops; Yokahu Tower, La Coca Falls and a nature walk of 15 min that will take us Mameyes river for swimming.

Stop 2 · 20 min
This 69 foot tower was built by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (former Forest Supervisor and Director of IITF) in the early 1960’s. Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view).

Stop 3 · 20 min
At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.

Stop 4 · 40 min
From its headwaters in the Baño de Oro Research Natural Area to the boundary of El Yunque National Forest. Wild — 2.1 miles; Scenic — 1.4 miles; Recreational — 1.0 miles; Total — 4.5 miles. Multiple natural pools are found in this river considered as one of the main ones in El Yunque. Swimming/ Cliff jump and rope swing/ pending on weather conditions.

Luquillo beach is considered as one of the most beautiful ones in the Northern side of PR. Here you can find around 36 kiosks where you can shop souvenirs or have a local gastronomical experience.
