Visit Agra Fort (Unesco World Heritage Site), a red sandstone fort built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. is a historical fort along the bank of the Yamuna River in the city of Agra. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. The imposing red sandstone fort combines both Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles.
