   The Grand Palace is Bangkok’s most iconic landmark and a symbol of Thailand’s rich history and royal heritage. Built in 1782, this magnificent complex once served as the royal residence of Thai kings for over 150 years. Within its ornate walls lies Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. With its dazzling golden spires, intricate carvings, and stunning architecture, the Grand Palace remains a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Bangkok.

   Located within the Grand Palace complex, Wat Phra Kaew is Thailand’s most sacred Buddhist temple and home to the revered Emerald Buddha, a highly venerated statue carved from a single block of jade. Built in 1782, the temple is renowned for its intricate architecture, vibrant murals, and exquisite golden details that reflect the spiritual and artistic heart of Thai culture. A visit here offers a glimpse into Thailand’s royal and religious heritage.

   Wat Pho (the Temple of the Reclining Buddha), or Wat Phra Chetuphon, is right behind the Temple of the Emerald Buddha – it’s a must-see for any first-time visitor to Bangkok. As one of the largest temple complexes in the city, it’s famed for its giant reclining Buddha that is 46 metres long, covered in gold leaf. This an A World Heritage Site

   Wat Arun, locally known as Wat Chaeng, is a landmark temple on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya river. It’s easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location but also because the design is very different from the other temples you can visit in the Thai capital. Wat Arun (nicknamed the 'Temple of Dawn') is partly made up of colourfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water.
