   Elizondo is the vibrant capital of the Baztan Valley, a charming village that blends tradition, nature, and culture in a uniquely Basque setting.
   Lined with elegant stone mansions, wooden balconies, and cobbled streets, the town sits along the Baztan River, which adds to its peaceful atmosphere.
   
   Elizondo is known for its lively markets, excellent local gastronomy, and as the main setting of the bestselling Baztan Trilogy novels, which have drawn visitors eager to explore its mysterious and evocative locations.
   
   With its mix of historical architecture, scenic surroundings, and deep-rooted customs, Elizondo offers an authentic glimpse into the soul of rural Navarre.

   We will visit the legendary Zugarramurdi Caves for a deep immersion into the fascinating history of witchcraft in the Basque Country.
   Set in a lush valley near the French border, the caves were once the site of pagan rituals that drew the attention of the Spanish Inquisition in the 17th century.
   
   You'll learn about the infamous 1610 witch trials, where locals were accused of practicing witchcraft. As we explore the dramatic limestone caves, we’ll uncover the social and cultural roots of the witch hysteria that gripped the region.
   
   The visit includes entrance tickets and time to explore the caves.
