Überblick
Ein atemberaubender 9 km langer Waldspaziergang entlang des gewundenen Water of Nevis zu den dramatischen Steall Falls. Die Route schlängelt sich durch die felsige Nevis Gorge und öffnet sich in die Panoramalandschaft von Glen Nevis.
Steall Falls ist der dritthöchste Wasserfall Schottlands und kaskadiert 105 Meter die Felswand hinunter. Auf Gälisch heißt es An Steall Bàn und bedeutet "Der weiße Ausguss".
Dieser ikonische Bereich kommt in zwei Harry Potter Filmen vor.
Am Ende der Wanderung gibt es eine Drahtseilbrücke über den Fluss für die Abenteuerlustigen!

Reiseverlauf

From the car park we'll visit the nearby Polldubh Falls (Black Pool).
We'll then walk through the forest, along the banks of the Water of Nevis.
There are lots of small waterfalls and pools along the way.
We'll cross Paddy’s Bridge to the road for a short walk to the start of Nevis Gorge.
The terrain get's a little steeper and rocky, but your guide is on hand to help if necessary.
At the end of the gorge, we exit into the stunning Glen Nevis.
A short walk takes us to the imposing Steall Falls waterfall.
For anyone feeling adventurous, there's a wire rope bridge over the river.
Optionally, we can walk to the base of the waterfall. This ground is boggy and rocky.
We'll walk back on the same route, but the views change in the opposite direction.
This walk takes 3-4 hours depending on whether you cross the rope bridge.
A mandatory Medical & Consent form is required.
Treffpunkt
Arriving at the carpark with your own vehicle is preferred. Meet at the picnic benches in the grassy area.
Pay & display car park (£4).
Your guide can give a lift for up to 4 people from the West End or Transport (Ellis Brigham) car parks.
