Überblick
Die Silfra-Spalte existiert aufgrund der nordamerikanischen und eurasischen tektonischen Platten, die sich jährlich um etwa 2 Zentimeter voneinander trennen und einen Riss in der Landschaft zwischen ihnen hinterlassen. Diese Spalte ist mit Gletscherwasser vom Langjökull-Gletscher gefüllt, das jahrzehntelang durch Lavafelder gefiltert wurde, bevor es die Silfra erreichte – wodurch das Wasser außergewöhnlich klar und trinkbar wird.

Guests sit with feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across Iceland.
Silfra fissure is one of the top dive sites in the world, situated in Thingvellir National Park, only about 50 kilometers from Reykjavik. You can either head to Fly Over Iceland after snorkeling or move your reservation for another time and day that suits your travel plans best!

Park your car at “Thingvellir P5" for GPS & walk 400m back along the road you came until you reach a smaller car park with all the snorkel and dive vans - look for your guide. Please be there 15 minutes before the tour is about to start.

- Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
- Don't wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
- Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
- We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
- All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
- All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
- Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
- Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.
