Panoramica
La fessura di Silfra esiste a causa delle placche tettoniche nordamericane ed eurasiatiche che si separano di circa 2 centimetri all'anno, lasciando una spaccatura nel paesaggio tra di loro. Questa spaccatura è riempita con l'acqua glaciale del ghiacciaio Langjökull che è stata filtrata attraverso i campi di lava per decenni prima di raggiungere Silfra, rendendo l'acqua eccezionalmente limpida e potabile.

Silfra fissure is one of the top dive sites in the world, situated in Thingvellir National Park, only about 50 kilometers from Reykjavik. You can either head to Fly Over Iceland after snorkeling or move your reservation for another time and day that suits your travel plans best!

- Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
- Don't wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
- Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
- We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
- All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
- All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
- Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
- Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.
