Descripción general
La fisura de Silfra existe debido a que las placas tectónicas de América del Norte y Eurasia se separan alrededor de 2 centímetros al año, dejando una grieta en el paisaje entre ellas. Esta grieta está llena de agua glacial del glaciar Langjökull que se ha filtrado a través de campos de lava durante décadas antes de llegar a Silfra, lo que hace que el agua sea excepcionalmente clara y potable.

Guests sit with feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across Iceland.
Silfra fissure is one of the top dive sites in the world, situated in Thingvellir National Park, only about 50 kilometers from Reykjavik. You can either head to Fly Over Iceland after snorkeling or move your reservation for another time and day that suits your travel plans best!

- Be at minimum 150cm (4’9) tall / maximum 200cm (6’7) tall, and be at minimum 50kg (99 lbs) / maximum 120kg (264 lbs)
- Don't wear glasses, instead bring contact lenses or your own prescription mask (if you have one)
- Recommended to bring a change of clothes (the drysuit has a very small chance of leaking)
- We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks a a base layer under the drysuit
- All participants heights, weights and age must be provided to local operator. If you do not provide at time of booking, please contact supplier immediately after booking to provide this information
- All participants will need to fill out a medical form before participating in the tour. Please find a link to the medical statement on your ticket voucher right after booking the experience to be sure if you qualify.
- Please dress according to weather - no heals or jeans
- Note: Each guide can assist one group of up to six participants at a time. Up to three different groups can be present during this activity.
